week1

hi peeps,

first week is almost over. flight was fine. i stayed in alejuela the first day, whch was alright for getting the feeling of the place but not really interesting. on thursday i took a bus, a taxi, a ferry, a bus, and another taxi to get to santa theresa, a trip that almost killed my back but amazing views of the country. santa theresa is paradise, beautiful beaches, warm water, palmtrees and a constant swell so the place is packed with surfers. friday i had a surflesson, but that wasnt really good and i almost drowned.in the evening i went to another beach with one of the guys from the hostel, and had a great time. great waves, chatting with the locals, pelicans flying over, amazing sunset. had a good laugh when the locals started clapping when i finally caught a wave. yesterday i had a morning surf and because my lesson was so crap a free second lesson which was a lot of fun, nice and save learning how to carve in the whitewash. one of the locals cracked a coconut for me (they re everywhere) so had fresh coco on the beach (to b honest:jukkie).  in the evening we went with some costa ricans to the beach for a beer, surf, and the sunset. now i am heading towards montezuma where i will stay for 3 weeks. so all is good! xx
